Yes, I went to see the Superman movie. I went with my girlfriend and my mother. I was given a choice between going to see Al Gore talk about global warming and going to see Superman.
Recommend: Very similar to the first superman movies. A bit mopey. Good though.

you know, I must say that for a movie that revolves around character issues, you'd think that maybe the characters would, I don't know, talk to each other about them for time to time. Am I crazy? Some dialogue would have drastically helped this film. Oh, that and a plot that wasn't unfolded in a series of maps that look exactly like something Doctor Evil would use. Oh, that and maybe they could have done something to address the one problem I've had with every superman movie: THE GUY IS INVINCIBLE. Hard to feel any sort of tension or danger when there is no possibility that he can be defeated. Oh, yeah, there's kryptonite, sure, but having just ONE weakness means that the plot of every superman movie can have only one moment were GASP superman is exposed to kryptonite.
And lastly, we've all seen mallrats (except james cantu). We know what would happen if superman tried to have a baby with Lois Lane.
Sorry to vent. I was very disappointed since so many other comic book movies have managed to revitalize the source material.
When are they going to make a Johnny the Homicidal Maniac movie? I want to see Happy Noodle Boy on screen!
I haven't seen this movie, but James gave me a totally vague review over the phone. It was this: "It was okay in a sucky kind of way."
Woah woah woah... I disagree with you on all counts Andrew N! I need to post my own review!
