TV show: My Love from the Star

I watched a Korean romantic comedy drama! It was pretty good, and you can see it subtitled on Hulu. Jingping had already watched it. It's about an alien who's been trapped on Earth for 400 years who falls in love with a woman. I don't care what you think, it was good!

TV show!?: game of thrones

we watched all of game of thrones a couple of weeks ago: it was exhausting but highly entertaining. we have joined the cult, i suppose.

we also watched the first season of desperate housewives; or rather, jingping did, and i watched intermittently. not as bad as i expected.

TV Series : 24 Season 3

I've never watched a season of 24 until finding this DVD set and watching it over a few days.   It was intense, and I have found in just this one season that there are special rules in 24 that don't apply anywhere else.

10.) The President, CTU agents, their friends and families, all look fantastic and alert at the end of a 24 hour day (although maybe a bit more bloody).

9.) If you are a main character, you are likely to die.

Recommend?  Yes!  Lots of intensity.  I suggesting taking a break once in awhile to do some deep breathing exercises and/or yoga.

TV show: Naruto

It's a great show! I really like it. Part of the fun is searching for episodes on Youtube. It's full of lots of fighting and backstories and people with different powers and things. I'll bet there are lots of toys and cardgames and things based on it. It is, in my opinion, the best cartoon I've ever watched.

Recommend: Yes! Japanese talking with english subtitles is best, followed by English talking which is usually good. Sometimes you have to settle for japanese talking with portuguese subtitles but I took spanish in high school so it's alright.

TV Show : The Office, Season One (American)

I bought the first season of The Office, and it was funny. There were many moments that made me cringe and feel uncomfortable, and if a TV show can do that to you, it's got something, right?

Recommend? I do, but at $19 for just six episodes, the pricing is a bit high.

TV show: LEXX

LEXX is excellent! I've been working in episodes in between... working... here in the lab. Someone at YouTube put all the episodes on in 10 minute chunks. I'm halfway through the second season. It's all very funny and very weird.

Recommend: Of course! I don't know what else to say. Somebody has to review something.

Dr. Who (present version)

This show is really great!!! There are many incarnations of the doctor. The one where I got hooked was the early eighties and late seventies Dr. which was reran on PBS. Lately Scifi has been running the most current version of Dr. Who and I have to say that this show is really great almost as great as the version that got me hooked so long ago.
Summery: I say check this series out if you have heard of the series or had been interested at all in Dr. Who. I ( fuck I can not stop hicupping!!!)think that there will be a first season dvd out sometime in june or july. So, if you have missed the first season check out the dvd. Also on the plus side Rose is a cutie.

TV series : The Office (BBC version)

Sung to acoustic guitar, during a staff training session:

"Gareth, we're sharing our ultimate dreams, what's yours?"
"Two Lesbians, probably. Sisters. I'm just watching."

Recommend? Yes. It's awkward and painful, and freaking hilarious. One of my favorite shows right now.

TV Series : Firefly (watched, this time)

Too awesome. Why the hell did they cancel this series??? Every episode is priceless! Firefly is well worth an impulse buy, if you haven't bought it already.

Just be warned: it is a very borrowable set of shows.

Recommend: Totally. You may now start borrowing my DVDs again.

Trailer: Silent Hill

Just saw the Silent Hill Trailer. Comes out in April. I'm totally psyched. It looks really sweet (in my opinion).

Recommend: See for yourselves.

TV Series : Firefly

I bought the complete Firefly season on DVD for myself as a Christmas gift. I did this after watching only three episodes over Halloween weekend at Michael and Maggie's place. Since this series purchase, I have yet to watch a single episode because everyone I know around here keeps borrowing it. I believe it's been borrowed by FIVE different people already. And it's only been about ten days since the purchase. There are FOURTEEN episodes of Firefly, and I believe they are each at least an hour long, so everyone borrowing this set from me averages only two days per complete series viewing. Or, they are averaging 7 hours a day watching this series.

Pretty impressive statistics, if you ask me.

Recommend? Well, OBVIOUSLY, since you are at this very moment probably watching my copy of Firefly!! Give it back, already!

Anime : Cowboy Bebop

Cowboy Bebop is a series of 26 half-hour episodes plus one movie. I've been slowly watching them over the past two months, and I just finished the final episode tonight.

WHHHHY?!?

The basics of the show: take a gangly group of down-on-their-luck bounty hunters, and see if they can ever get enough money to buy food. Add excellent music, great action, characters that grab your guts and squeeze them, and "bang."

Recommend? If you can only pick one anime to ever watch in your lifetime, you better make it this one. It's the grits, baby.
